What we collect, and why

Short version: we collect what we need to run your releases and nothing we don’t. Here’s the detail.

Last updatedJune 20, 2026

This is plain-language placeholder copy for “PR Wire.” Swap in your registered entity name, jurisdiction, and a reviewed legal version before launch.

What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email, and password so you can log in.
  • Your releases — the content you write and the outlets you choose.
  • Payment info — handled by our payment processor; we don’t store your card number.
  • Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics so we know what’s working.

How we use it

To distribute your releases, show you pickups, take payment, answer your questions, and keep the service secure. That’s it. We don’t sell your data.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in and to understand traffic in aggregate. You can clear or block them in your browser; some features may stop working if you do.

Sharing

We share what’s necessary with the service providers that help us run PR Wire — payment, email, hosting — and only what they need. When you send a release, its content goes to the outlets and journalists you picked, which is rather the point.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email us and we’ll sort it out. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Data retention

We keep your account and release history while your account is open so you can reuse lists and look back at past pickups. Close your account and we’ll remove what we’re not required to keep.
