The deal, in plain English
No ten-page wall of legalese. Here’s what you agree to when you use PR Wire, written so you can actually read it.
This is plain-language placeholder copy for “PR Wire.” Swap in your registered entity name, jurisdiction, and a reviewed legal version before launch.
1. Who we are
PR Wire is a press release distribution service. When we say “we” or “us,” we mean PR Wire. When we say “you,” we mean the person or company using the service.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself. Give us accurate details, and let us know if something looks off. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
3. Using the service
You can use PR Wire to prepare and send press releases. You keep ownership of what you write. By sending it through us, you give us permission to distribute it to the outlets and journalists you select.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t send anything that breaks the law or our prohibited content rules. You’re confirming you have the right to publish what you send and that it’s truthful. We can decline or stop a release that crosses those lines.
5. Payment and refunds
Releases are paid per send, in USD. If you cancel before we distribute, you get a full refund. Once a release has been sent we can’t recall it, so there are no refunds after distribution.
6. What we don’t promise
We get your release in front of real journalists and show you the pickups. We can’t promise a specific outlet will run it — that’s an editorial decision we don’t control. Anyone who guarantees coverage is guessing.
7. Liability
We work hard to keep the service running and your release accurate to what you submitted. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the release in question. We’re not responsible for what outlets do or don’t do with your news.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the service grows. If we make a meaningful change, we’ll say so. Continuing to use PR Wire after that means you’re okay with the update.
